News SEO
The files search engines and aggregators read are built for you and kept current whenever a story changes.
- Sitemaps: an index plus article sitemaps that only rebuild the part that changed; last-modified dates reflect editorial changes, not redesigns.
- News sitemap: stories from the last 48 hours, at most 1000, and older entries removed on time.
- RSS 2.0 and Atom feeds of the newest stories.
- IndexNow notifications for new, changed and removed pages (when enabled on the platform).
- Structured data: NewsArticle with publisher and author pages, breadcrumbs, and organisation data on the homepage.
- Site health in the panel: missing files, stale news sitemap, wrong canonical addresses, broken internal links, pages that should answer 410.
Indexing, ranking and inclusion in Google News, Apple News, MSN or other platforms are decided by those platforms. The panel shows technical readiness for each; it never claims acceptance.
